Overview
The Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lake Trek is one of the most spectacular trekking adventures in the Everest region, combining Nepal's most famous trekking destination with the breathtaking beauty of the Gokyo Valley. Unlike the classic Everest Base Camp route, this itinerary crosses two high Himalayan passes—Cho La Pass (5,483 m) and Renjo La Pass (5,360 m)—offering a more adventurous experience and incredible panoramic mountain views.
Along the journey, you'll visit traditional Sherpa villages, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and the vibrant mountain town of Namche Bazaar before reaching the legendary Everest Base Camp and the famous viewpoint of Kala Patthar. The adventure continues through the pristine Gokyo Valley, where emerald-blue lakes and the summit of Gokyo Ri provide some of the finest views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
Designed for experienced trekkers with good fitness, this itinerary offers the perfect combination of adventure, culture, and world-class Himalayan scenery while following a carefully planned schedule for proper acclimatization and safety.
